Course Comments

  • Psychology/Study Hall (Library): 
    • Mr. Peterson taught Psychology. He was also our Superintendent. 
    • When Mr. Peterson couldn't be there Mrs. Ekeberg held study hall for us. 
    • We made family trees
  • Home Economics (Room 106):
    • Miss Swenson was our teacher. I believe that this was her first year of teaching. 
    • There were 5 students in our class, they were: 
      Deb Semrad, Mary Kubischta, Greg Whitmore, Jeff Moore, and Brenda Kerr. 
    • We made spaghetti, stuffed peppers, and lefse in the cooking part of this course.
    • We sewed lingerie, knitted caps, and other clothes for ourselves.
  • I think that another class met at the same time as Home Economics...What was it????
  • Business Law:
    • Mr. Brend was our teacher.
    • We studied court cases
    • There was 20 students in our class.
  • Band and Chorus:
    • Don Roloff was the band and chorus director.
    • We had marching, concert, and pep bands.
    • Mixed, girls, and boys chorus' met in room 206 (the old 6th grade room) this year. I think that this was the first or second year that two of the lower elementary grades were combined into one classroom leaving on elementary classroom for other classes such as chorus.
  • English:
    • Only seniors attended this class.
    • On Monday's we had free reading.
    • Mr. Johnson taught English.
  • P.O.D.:
    • Problems of Democracy
    • Mr. Hove taught this class. He gave VERY EASY tests.
  • Phy-Ed:
    • Mr. Hove was the teacher.
    • Phy-Ed met in the gymnasium.
